- 100% polyester velvet, jersey knit, & faux leather fabrics
- Maroon velvet jacket has black velvet collar, lapels, sleeve cuffs, & false pocket flaps
- Jacket has metallic gold braid edging, metallic gold ribbon "frogs" on lapels
- Maroon velvet vest has high neckline, metallic gold braid edging
- Pants have elastic waistband, same fabric ties at cuffs just below knees
- Jersey knit jabot has hook & loop fastener at back of same fabric neck band
- Jabot has accordion pleats and lace edging
- Cuffed faux leather boot tops slide on to meet pants cuffs
- Foam backed tricorn hat has wire in brim edge for shape
- Hat has feather and gold braid trim, attached striped scarf to tie as desired

We usually recommend that kids wait until they're a little older to commit to a life of piracy. It's just that what we think of as a perfectly respectable maritime occupation gets called a lot of ugly names, especially by certain individuals in the Royal Navy. High treason against the crown, they say. Very bad manners, some of them call it. But we made this great costume for your pint-sized privateer anyway, because we know that the name-callers are probably just jealous!
The gold trim and buttons of the burgundy jacket will make all those spiteful labels roll off the young captain's back like sea spray on a freshly-swabbed deck. The deluxe faux-leather boot tops will have him pacing the bow like an old salt. The white lace neckpiece will give him an air of refinement and authority, and the hat crowns the look. All you need is a hook (if you like) to make this the best-looking kid's pirate costume for a thousand leagues in any direction!
Just be sure to politely remind the captain that even though a corsair might be considered a scalawag in certain circles, a true pirate is not without a sense of honor. The foul mouth and rough habits of a sailor are not a requirement for the job. It's a good idea to map out some of these boundaries early on, because we wouldn't want you to get double-crossed and marooned on a desert island the first time you turn your back!

Size X-SmallThis is the best costume I have ever purchased in my life for a child. My son was so adorable in this costume. The quality of the material of the costume was so authentic and expensive looking. Everyone loved it and took pictures of my son everywhere we went. Size MediumBought this for my 7yo grandson. He is thrilled with it - said it was the best ever costume. Some responses to other’s concerns: the hat is included, but not the hook, which I bought separately. The vest does not have any closures on the front, but it was very easy to hand sew three sets of Velcro tabs - he can fasten them himself and his vest looks just like the picture. The vest and jacket arrived very wrinkled, but it was easy to steam iron them with a pressing cloth and they look like they just came from the dry cleaners. Size SmallWe just got the size small delivered. My son is 5.5, but tall. He wears six pants. The small fits, but there is no extra room, it’s a bit snug. I am very happy with it in general but it won’t fit long. My son got tons of compliments . The coat and hat are amazing !! The only thing that I didn't like about the costume was the neck piece . It just covers a small portion of the chest and the vest has no buttons so it stays open . My son wore a white long sleeve to make the neck piece look better .Was this review helpful to you?
